This year it is more important than ever, with the economic challenges that are affecting families in the Mt Laurel area. Last year we raised over $1600 dollars and feed 8 families. This year we are committed to helping 12 families. We all are dealing with the challenges of the times but for many families this is more then their 401k dropping or cutting back; it is about surviving. I am asking you to be a part of this amazing effort to make this holiday a bit more joyful by helping out any way you can. <br /><br />Between now and December 19, we will be collecting tax deductible donations of $200 and non-perishable food. A donation of $200 will buy a family a holiday food basket, cleaning supplies, and special requested items of need. We shop and deliver the baskets to local families in need. We love for you or your business to adopted a family. We spend ever penny of the $200 on the families. Donation of any amount will be accepted. Food donations will be donated to local food banks. All families are from the area. <br /><br />All checks should be made payable to the Joseph White Foundation. Between now and December 19, we will be collecting tax deductible donations of $200 and non-perishable food. A donation of $200 will buy a family a holiday food basket, cleaning supplies, and special requested items of need. We shop and deliver the baskets to local families in need. We love for you or your business to adopted a family. We spend ever penny of the $200 on the families. Donation of any amount will be accepted. Food donations will be donated to local food banks. All families are from the area. <br /><br />All checks should be made payable to the Joseph White Foundation. The Joseph White Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to helping those who are in need. We are a 501c non-profit. Many of you are aware, or perhaps not that I am what best is considered a Life Coach. Life Coaching gets thrown around a lot these days. Tv shows such as Starting Over have featured life coaches. In a nut shell I help people get what they want in life. Sounds generic, I know, but really that is it. We all want something. A better relationship, more money, better time management or perhaps we want less of something, depression or unhappiness. I help people overcome those barriers. I am not a therapist, but I do have extensive understanding of human behavior.<br /><br />It started 14 years ago. It sounds an awful much like a VH1 special but it is true. !4 years ago I was addicted to drugs and an alcoholic. I stumbled across a set of tapes in an infomercial. After three nights of watching the same infomercial, I purchased the tapes. Not only was I able to get clean, but I became fascinated with what causes us to do what we do. I had been to therapist, prescribed drugs and still nothing changed. I blamed my upbring and internal failures for my problems. The main thing the tapes taught me that we have the ability to change the meaning of events of our lives. Not the events but what they meant to me. A simple truth and a powerful tool. See, nothing changes until you change it. It is not easy, but the price that I was paying for not controlling what I can control was killing me. Once I decided to take control of my life, my meanings, my beliefs, thoughts, and actions I could begin to deal with what caused me to do drugs. It was never my upbring nor was there something broken in me. It was the way I viewed my life and me in the world. I learned tools to change these deep limiting beliefs. My life is not perfect but do actively participate in my life. <br /><br />As the years progressed I wanted to share my knowledge. In the process, I realized that we are all not that different. Sure, different backgrounds, challenges, and circumstances but the underlining mechanics were the same. <br /><br />In 1999, I started Get Life Coaching. Today, I have two offices in Delaware, I conduct seminars, and even train others in the skills I learned. <br /><br />Tiger Woods as great as he is, has coaches. Michael Jordan did and so did Lance Armstrong. People who achieved greatness, consistently understand the power of coaching. A sad truth about cruising is that they still have not learned how to effectively deal with the "Cruise Flu" About half of the ship was sick and slightly less then half of our group of 28 was sick. Being sick means you and your cabin mates quarantined for two days. All in the cabin are quarantined regardless if you have it or not. You need to stay close to a bathroom. Lucky it passed over me. I still love crusin' but I think I am ready for a break from the seas, more on that in a moment.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Steve Holy - September 12th at Prospectors.</span> Make your dinner reservations.<br />It will sell out. I have decided that next summer we will be setting our compass to the capital of country music...Nashville. Nashville is an amazing city and even more so for any country music fan.<br /><br />I am putting it together now, here are my thoughts.<br /><br />5-7 days in length<br /><br />Stay at the Opryland Hotel<br /><br />Arrange some group tours but allow time to go your own way.<br /><br />Gotta go to the Grand Ol' Opry<br /><br />Have a private dinner and dance, maybe a BBQ umm :)<br /><br />Group night at Wild Horse<br /><br />So what do you you think?
